WxYard started out as an idea back in 2012 from a site I made called burlington-weather.com. burlington-weather.com was my first dive into making a weather website from scratch. For the technology back then and the skills that I had, it wasn't half bad.
Around 2014, I had landed my job at MESO and decided by late 2014 that I needed to take my personal website to the next level. Sometime around early 2015, the first rendition of WxYard was deployed and now the rest is history.
This site is now dedicated to two meteorology friends that left us too early. Chris Bouchard and Tim Melino were two meteorologists that loved severe weather just as much as I do. I hope the finished product will be worthy of their memories.
